It’s not ‘meant to be’ – Its meant to be done

It’s not meant to be – Its meant to be done – Jade Teta.

If it’s meant to be its meant to be – (I hate writing this post because my Nan always said that saying)

But,

If you’re sat around waiting for the stars to align waiting for something to happen then you need to get up, stop star gazing and go and do the work.

The work, The work is meant to be done.

Once the work is done then the work needs to be put out there…

And once that has happened then it might be.

You might fail, But if you did the work then you will have learnt some valuable lessons, you can course correct and try again…

That is how we learn and grow, and that’s how we make our stars align…

Not by waiting, By doing.

You Are What You Eat…

You are what you eat…

You feed yourself garbage, eventually, you start to feel like garbage, your energy levels drop and your output is garbage too…

The same is true for the information you feed yourself, The people yourself with, The music, the tv shows, what you read…

All this information is fed into our subconscious…

If you feel negative, lack motivation and have a can’t be arse mentality, Then look at the people you surround yourself with, How do they talk, how do they act,

What are you listening too on the radio and on the tv, is it drama, drama and more drama, same with your reading are you just reading the drama on facebook…

Then why not create the most beautiful story for yourself?

As kids we’re free, we draw, we create, we sing and dance… Life is fun…Life is art

But

As social creatures, we are drawn towards tribes and we want the tribe to accept us, so we conform to how the tribe acts, we do as they do because their opinion matters to us.

We start to fear rejection.

So the things we used to do for joy and fun we stop.

We don’t start the things we want to do because,

We fear being laughed at, Not being liked and rejected…

So the art we want remains a thought in our head,

Whilst we conform to the system of the tribe’s beliefs…

Is that the life you want…

I’ve said it before, There is no Map…

No clear path, unless we follow someone else’s

And because we’re creating our own route…

We’re going to run into obstacles and roadblocks…

There are two choices when this happens…

1. Get frustrated, complain and quit or…
2. See them for the neon sign they are saying ‘this way’

The latter will although may not be the easier option, Will lead you to overcome adversity, help you find solutions to other Obstacles and will lead you even greater growth…

Follow the diversion, Climb over the roadblock… Just don’t turn back

The side effect conundrum…

If you hate exercising and you stop, You will probably have a better day

If you hate saving money, you will most likely have a better day when you spend that money on something that makes you feel better…

If instead of following your diet plan you binge out on sweets and whatever you will most likely feel better…

Feel better In the short run, Until the side effects kick in.

And suddenly the doctors told us we have a heart problem, or we need some money but we spent it all on some crap we don’t need…

Then we wonder ‘If only I dealt with the side effects of a little discipline’

When it all could have been avoided by going through an hour a day of discomfort, 10-20% of your wages stashed away… Whatever it is…

Put up with the short term side effects of discipline
Or live with the long term effects of being undisciplined
