Don’t sail out farther than you can sail back
– Danish Proverb
I think if people followed the Danish advice on this one history would have been very boring
Let’s look at this from a fitness point of view
If you only ran as far as you knew you could run back then your fitness would never improve because you wouldn’t up the distance
Or you would never attempt a personal best in lifting in case you wouldn’t be able to complete the lift
In life you would never take risks in case you failed
I’m sorry Danish people but sometimes you have to risks
Take The Risk, Or Lose The Chance
Is a quote I see in the entrepreneur world, All over Instagram and the likes…
It implies that you need to make quick decisions and snap up whatever is in front of you right away. It makes you think that if I wait then I’m going to lose this opportunity and there will be no more.
It also rushes you into making the decision and not truly thinking through whether it is actually an opportunity or not.
Sometimes the risk you need to take is to wait.
That’s right wait, instead of snapping up the first thing that comes along.
Wait and the opportunity will arise.
Rush and what you thought was an opportunity was actually disaster in disguise.

Stepping into the Ring can be risky – you could get hurt (Badly)⠀
Making an investment can be risky – it could fail – You could lose money⠀
But as @robmooreprogressive says – If you don’t risk anything – You risk everything⠀
