You Need To Love & Appreciate the Pain

You Need To Love & Appreciate the Pain

You can look at a bodybuilder or a bikie model and want to look like them,

You can look at a bill/millionaire and want their success

The same for those couples who seem to prosper through everything…

Whatever it is you want, you need to appreciate the pain they went through, the sacrifices they’ve made to get to that point…

And if you really want it, you’re going to have to love those sacrifices too.

Because they are part of the process.

Love the pain….

Or if your not willing to do it yourself,

Appreciate the pain others endured getting there

Hack away at the unessential

“It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.” – Bruce Lee

The first step to financial freedom isn’t earning more money, Its spending less

The same is true for good health – Hack away at the unessential.

The unessential amount of tv, the unessential amount of snacks and junk, Alchohol…

You will find the two go hand in hand, the less you spend on things you don’t need, The more money and time you will have to spend on actually living.

Life is never stagnation.

“Life is never stagnation. It is constant movement, un-rhythmic movement, as we as constant change. Things live by moving and gain strength as they go.” – Bruce Lee

Like water, if we stop flowing we become stagnant.

We need to move, not just in a physical sense but mentally too.

We need to grow and change, we need to crash against the rocks and squeeze through the little gaps from time to time.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man – Heraclitus

Even if nothing in your life changed and you stepped in the river, you may be the same person, but the river wouldn’t be the same that moved on a long time ago.

Flow like water.

‘I don’t have time for that’

‘I don’t have time for that’

A couple of weeks back (At the time of writing) Jeff Bezos uploaded a picture to his Instagram, saying that he had just binged watched a whole season of Stranger Things 3 with his kids (In one day)

Bezos obviously owns the Biggest Company in the world (which also owns several other companies) as well as a Space Company, The Huffington Post and also many other acquisitions…

If Mr Bezos can find time not only to run his companies, and still take the time out to spend a whole day binging shows (on his competitors streaming service) with his kids,

Then I think we all can find time to do something of meaning for ourselves…

This starts by saying no to the things that don’t matter (From a couple of posts back)

No.

No.

You and I are incomplete people.

To become compleat we have to try new experiences, say something, go somewhere different…

Why…

New situations activate genes and these genes activate proteins that build new structures in the brain

So doing the same things over and over again we never activate these genes and remain incomplete

The more we do the same things over and over the harder, it is for us to try/say/do new things.

Like saying No for instance.

The more you say yes the harder it is for you say no, Like when your boss asks you to work overtime and you know you don’t want to…

But you say yes anyway, the next time your boss asks you, the chances are you’re going to say yes again.

And by the time your boss asks you to do something ridicules like working 40 hours for free… Your brain isn’t structured to say no.

The same is true when you’ve just joined the gym but your friends are asking you to go out again, you really don’t want too… What do you say?

Rebuild your brain
So you can rebuild yourself.
