The side effect conundrum…

If you hate exercising and you stop, You will probably have a better day

If you hate saving money, you will most likely have a better day when you spend that money on something that makes you feel better…

If instead of following your diet plan you binge out on sweets and whatever you will most likely feel better…

Feel better In the short run, Until the side effects kick in.

And suddenly the doctors told us we have a heart problem, or we need some money but we spent it all on some crap we don’t need…

Then we wonder ‘If only I dealt with the side effects of a little discipline’

When it all could have been avoided by going through an hour a day of discomfort, 10-20% of your wages stashed away… Whatever it is…

Put up with the short term side effects of discipline
Or live with the long term effects of being undisciplined

Too much of anything we perceive to be good eventually will become bad.

Too much exercise – We risk overtraining, under-recovering, and risk getting injured

Too much alcohol – The enjoyment of the night, control over yourself and the fun for others gets ruined…

too much of your favourite dessert will become sickly

Even too much sex will eventually stop becoming pleasurable and you lose that connection with your partner…

It’s important today that no matter how motivated you are, how much you want to succeed you take the time to recover from your ‘good thing’

The Curse

It’s funny when you realise how much you have grown as a person.

When a situation that would of sent you into a negative thinking frenzy and ruined your week may be the month until the situation goes away, but now you just look at and laugh…

Sometimes you need to stop and take a minute to see what you are actually doing today.

We can get so fixated on the end goal and frustrated that we haven’t got there yet but forget where we started from…

You may want to lose 4stone and feel like your getting nowhere but yet you’ve already lost 2 stone and already feel and look better.

You may have never done a bench press in your life yet 6 months later your benching 75kg and making it look easy, Yet feel frustrated that you can’t hit 100kg yet.
