When your always on and off
The on is going to be 10x harder than the off
Stopping and starting is a killer.
The more you stop the harder it is to start again and the harder it is to keep going and get momentum.
In terms of exercise the more you stop the harder it is to find motivation to get started again. Then you get mucles soreness and want to stop again. Where as if you just pushed through and kept going you keep gaining momentum.
In relationships if your on and off the on is never going to be the same and you have more chances of breaking up again.
In business if you only market when you need to its going to be a lot harder to get sales than if you marketed consistently.
Basically when your on and off the on gets 10x harder and quitting or being off gets 10x easier so keep going because the off is not worth it
A slave to your desires
Watching Tv late at night
Checking your phone when you’re trying to get shit done
Eating the cake or snacks
We’re all slaves to our desires, yet we are unchained and the gates to escape our pit are unguarded
We know this.
We know we can free ourselves
We know if we do we can grow
We can get that shit done.
But we don’t
We allow ourselves to be pulled back in
Pulled back to our desires away from the gates of freedom
We are slaves to our desires. Until we decide we are not.
They say the week start on Monday
But the strong start on Sunday
I fell into the habit of just letting my weeks start at default and just go with the flow, you know see what happens…
Not much really, Apart from responding to events as and when they happen.
The strong start on Sunday, meaning planning your week before it starts and reviewing the previous week to see what progress you did or did not make…
(Although I don’t think that’s what Ye meant)
Garret J White calls this the general’s tent, Planning your battles before you go to war.
War on yourself that is.
Start on Sunday
Review your week
Plan your week
Kill your week
When you look after what you have the value increases.
We’ve all seen episodes on tv where someone has tried to pawn something that was a high value collectable but they never looked after it so it is now worthless.
I worked with someone once who had like a first edition Lord Of The Rings book, she said it would have been worth 9-11grand (I think she said) but she lent it to her mother who didn’t look after it when she read it and it’s now worthless.
When you look after your body its value goes up, you can produce more, have more energy and well the alternative is if your not looking after it then you’re probably dying. Without your body, you can’t do anything.
When you look after your partner, The relationship grows, You two become one. One unstoppable force.
When you look after your business it to goes up in value. Your staff are happy, your customers come back.
What you look after grows. Don’t take it for granted.
Can I Do More
‘If you’re not living in a place of growth, Then your acting as if you’re on the way out’
-Kevin Heart The Decision
If we’re not growing we’re dying, Tony Robbins said that Life is growth or death right, everything is growing or dying.
So when we come to a place where stop growing, We slowly start to decay.
So we need to ask ourselves the question…
Can I do more.
Can I get up a little earlier
Can I practice 2 more days per week
Can I do this
Can I do that
The answer is normally
We can always do more, but we choose not to.
We choose death overgrowth.
Let’s start growing and do more.
