A day in the life of

Looking back over the years its pretty amazing to see how much one can change

Sometimes that change happens at random through an event or person

Other times its intentional through study, exercise and personal development

A lot of the change over my life was random until the last 3-4 years when I started doing intentional change so this post is a day in the life of how I go about that (in no particular order)

1a &b) Reading and study (sometimes I combine the 2)

This is where a big part of my Personal Development came from, reading books on finance, philosophy, buisness, productivity, health and fitness and everything in between
Or sometimes I just read novels

2) Exercise- do I need to explain the benefits if exercise, feel better, look better, perform better, I exercise often 3-4 times per week

3) walks and dog walks, get out in nature and move often

4) downtime there was a point in my life where it was just work work work l, everyday I never made any time for downtime and I burnt out, got injured and had no social life

So these are just some of the things I do on the daily for intentional change,

What do you do let me know below v

The path is more important

The path is more important than what set him on the path

– The Archer

Look back over your life and then look where you are now

What got you here probably was not what you started out doing

But this is where the path has led

Everything effects everything else so when you start out on one thing the chances are your going to stumble upon something

Which will take you down a whole other path and once again you will stumble upon another thing and the cycle repeats

What’s important is that you keep walking this path because we don’t know where its going to take us

But it’s a journey of growth

Be Fearless In Facing Them

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them.

Rabindranath Tagore

Hiding from problems, or wishing we never had any, Never doing anything risky will always make the problems or dangers 10x worse

I know I was fairly babied as a kid, I never thought my own battles so facing the real world as a grown-up was a challenge and required more learning than the average adult.

And I sometimes still try to avoid facing problems,

But I’ve learnt that it’s easier to just hit them head-on, it eliminates the fear because you don’t have time to think too much, you just do and at the moment you’ll find that you are equipped to deal with anything.

Don’t pray for no danger, danger is where we grow

New beginnings

2020 books read

I feel like this is all I’ve got to show for 2020, this and the sudden readership growth…

Yeah it was a terrible year for all of us, alot out of our control…

But its the things in my control that bother me,

More specifically the things I didn’t do.
The things I could have done more on, the things i could of practiced more…

Like philosophy in these hard times, in stead of letting the times grind me down.

But I can’t change the past, I can only look back and learn from it, so no dwelling on the shoulda, woulda, could have…

Let’s focus on new beginnings.

Thank you people

Drifted Apart

I tried to grow
But I didn’t know how to apply it
So instead of growing upwards
The more I tried to grow
The more i started sinking down into the unknowns below
Like an anchor that broke away from the boat
I sank deep below
Whilst you stayed afloat
And drifted away
Far from the shore
Into the stormy seas

I tried to grow for us
But trying wasn’t enough, I should of used more heart
The more I tried to grow the more we drifted apart
