No.

No.

You and I are incomplete people.

To become compleat we have to try new experiences, say something, go somewhere different…

Why…

New situations activate genes and these genes activate proteins that build new structures in the brain

So doing the same things over and over again we never activate these genes and remain incomplete

The more we do the same things over and over the harder, it is for us to try/say/do new things.

Like saying No for instance.

The more you say yes the harder it is for you say no, Like when your boss asks you to work overtime and you know you don’t want to…

But you say yes anyway, the next time your boss asks you, the chances are you’re going to say yes again.

And by the time your boss asks you to do something ridicules like working 40 hours for free… Your brain isn’t structured to say no.

The same is true when you’ve just joined the gym but your friends are asking you to go out again, you really don’t want too… What do you say?

Rebuild your brain
So you can rebuild yourself.

The forever of Plenty

The forever of Plenty.

The opposite of the forever of discomfort is the forever of plenty.

This is where we think the current (Good) situation were in will last forever because we have plenty of resources/energy/money

Going all out in the gym every day because you have the energy and feel fine…

Buying Lavish, luxurious and exotic things every day because you have the money today…

Binging out 3-4 days in a row because the hangover hasn’t hit yet…

Like us humans The ‘most advanced species’ on the planet cutting down all the Trees today because we have plenty of them…

These things can not be sustained in the long term.

It’s impossible…

Go back to your game plan, Plan all the way till the end, Can this be sustained…
The forever of Plenty. The forever of discomfort, & The forever of never (Post 145) From Seths (Godin) Blog – The three types of forever

Things fall apart

Things fall apart,

Nothing lasts forever and somethings are supposed to fall apart,

Your gym trainers, you don’t buy them to keep them in the same condition, they were made to eventually wear out…

Somethings fall apart when they could be held together,

But we neglect them, There not that important until it’s too late,

Like your car, the engine light isn’t that important until it blows up, or your bold tires can be replaced tomorrow but when you have ablow out today…

We treat our bodies like this too, that ache in your lower back isn’t important until it cripples you picking up your grand kids,

Like the tires could be replaced, that crippling back pain could have been prevented by stretching it out when it was just an ache…

Things fall apart, But they don’t have too

Not if we treat them right

Perhaps happiness is found in the journey uphill – Jordan Peterson

Adversity is your friend, not your foe

That slow climb up that steep hill is probably the happiest your going to feel

Not when you hit the peak, But in that struggle to the peak

When you hit the peak it won’t be long till you return o your base level of happiness

When you’re at the bottom of the hill, you telling yourself how bad it is to be stuck there
and how you can’t make it to the top, unfortunately, this is where most people stop.

They never find out what their capabilities are and they never find the beauty in the struggle.

Climb that hill, When you hit the peak, Climb a bigger one (there’s always a bigger mountain remember.)

This is the power of silence, Grow silently

A seed grows with no noise, but a tree falls with huge sound, Destruction is loud but creativity is silent, This is the power of silence, Grow silently

I’m gonna
I’m gonna
I’m gonna

No, you’re probably not

I’ve had conversations like this all the time and looking back I’ve said my fair shares of I’m gonnas

I lot of them the ‘Not’ Was silent

I’ve also been on the receiving end of someones I’m gonna

There ‘Not’ Was also silent

I find it more powerful now to just say oh yeah I’ve done this by the way

And show the work I’ve actually done

If your ‘im gonna’ has gone on for over a week and you haven’t done anything to get started

Just tell your sell your full of shit and move on

At least then you can do something of use with yourself
