You can’t know

You can’t know if your going to enjoy an experience until you experience it.

Seth Godin

You can’t know

And we talk ourselves out of doing things we think we won’t enjoy, yet we dont truly know we wouldn’t until we tried

Some of my best experiences were doing things I didn’t want to do

Some of my best achievements I almost talked myself out of doing

Why because of some little voice in our heads?

Just try something new

You might love it, you might not

Who knows

They are felt with the heart

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”

The little prince

It’s not the mansion that’s beautiful, It’s the hard work you put in to acquire it that makes it so,

It’s not the abs you want, its the feeling of achievement you get once you have them

It’s not the relationship, just two people together, Its all the hardships you’ve been and overcome together that make it

It’s not the things we own, or our jobs we do its all the things we cannot see but have the biggest impact,

Happiness isn’t the holiday, or the cash in the bank, or the dream partner,

It is and always will be the work and the effort we put in.

“People where you live, the little prince said, grow five thousand roses in one garden… Yet they don’t find what they’re looking for… And yet what they’re looking for could be found in a single rose.”

Just Show Up

Just show up

Every day and put the work in,

It doesn’t matter how bad it is, commits to it daily,
hundreds, thousands of bad pages, bad reps, bad drawings

Keep going, because the more bad work we do, the closer we get to producing something good,

Out of bad, we can create good, but out of nothing remains nothing

We are not the universe we are not going to create everything from one big bang’s worth of hard work,

We need to show up.

Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers

So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

Veronica Shoffstall

No one is responsible for your happiness,
Nobody
And your not responsible for anyone else’s

No one is responsible for your growth
No one is responsible for your career
No one is responsible for the actions you take, or dont take

Stop waiting for other people to solve your problems,
Stop blaming other people,

Just get out there and tend to your garden and watch what happens

It’s all on you.

Of course there are some people who want to beat the living daylights out of you for just for asking a simple question

Of course there are some people who want to beat the living daylights out of you for just for asking a simple question

Even though they themselves don’t even know why some tormas are red and others are white

Patrul Rinpoche

In the enlightened Vagabond there is a story about a monk shouting a Patrul for painting all the Tormas read (a figure for rituals)

The man threatened to beat up Patrul, and Patrul asked the question do you even know why some are painted red and some white

The monk couldn’t answer

And this is something we see every day,
People getting so worked up and angry about beliefs they have been given

But if you asked the question they wouldn’t be able to explain why they believe that or why they do a certain ritual

It’s kind of a dangerous place to be, how could you get so worked up and angry about something you dont fully understand

Your just blindly following

Part of growing as a person is questioning everything, why do I follow this, why do I believe that

Is this something I believe or has it been forced upon me

What do I truly believe

And whatever you do follow, at least make sure you understand it

This is true in religion, philosophy, health and fitness industry and well everything really

Question your methods
