Cheesecake is Life

Cheesecake is life
Every day a bite
Delicious or sickly
I could eat this all night

Every bite a day
Sometimes it’s just scrumptious
Sometimes it’s a bit tangy
Sometimes its riche
And sometimes its sickly

Yet tangy or sickly
Scrumptious or rich
Its cheesecake
Regardless its delicious

Sometimes you bite off more than you can chew
Sometimes you barely take a bite and let it go to waist
Sometimes you just have the amount that would satisfy goldilocks
Just right

Cheesecake is life
Every day a bite
Delicious or sickly
I could eat this all night

They say you can’t have your cake and eat it too
But cheesecake is beautiful
And I’m taking a bite

Once my spoon comes dry
I will not cry
Because I had my cake
And I ate it too
Cheesecake is beautiful
And life is too

Epimelesthai Sautou

Epimelesthai Sautou

A lost art in today’s world,

To take care of one’s self that is.

It seems to me that we take care of everyone but one’s self.

Apart from 28 days of the year when we’re entitled to holidays when was the last time you took time for yourself,

To be alone, to reflect, and just do what you want to do in your own pace,

When was the last time you recharged (Not your phone) yourself, without the ping, ping of someone demanding your attention going off on your phone

To say no to overtime, to say no to your friends and to just simply say yes to yourself.

Yeah, that last bit sounded kinda corny but think about it,

We drop everything for a friend in need, we drop plans for extra hours but for ourselves, we drop nothing.

Epimelesthai Sautou

Characters in a play

We all just characters in a play
We have our roles to play
Just acting out each day
Hoping we see another day

But our role is not guaranteed
Our contract might not get renewed
Once the curtain is called
We leave an empty stage for our permanent retirement

Let us act out each day
As if it was our last performance
Because we’re only as good as our last dance
So lete not get stage fright
So we can take our character to new heights
So when the curtain finally gets called
We can call it good night And peacfully retire.
Knowing we performed our hearts out and did our character right

We all just characters in a play
We have our roles to play
Just acting out each day
Hoping we see another day

Force The World To Deal With You

You have to decide who you are and force the world to deal with you, not with its idea of you.

James Baldwin

Everyone has a perception of who you are or who they want you to be,

Your friends,partners,parents,employer/ees.

They may tell you that you can’t do something, that you shouldn’t do something, that you’re not right for this or that

Because their version of you, you can’t.

And battling with other peoples perceptions can be draining.

But just because they don’t agree with what you are or want to do because it doesn’t fit their idea of you

Doesn’t mean you should not do it,

After all their perception of you is their problem.

Who you are

Be it.

They can deal with it or not, either way not your problem.

Lifes Riches

Lifes riches
Are not found in gold
At the end of a rainbow
Or in fame where everyone knows your name

You will find your riches
From the love you give
Not what you receive
Because what you receive externally
Can never amount to the riches
That you already possess
From the love within you

Lifes riches
Are not found in gold
At the end of a rainbow
Or in fame where everyone knows your name

You will find your wealth
From constantly improving your health
That’s like compounding interest
It just keeps on multiplying
That is purifying

Lifes riches
Are not found in gold
At the end of a rainbow
Or in fame where everyone knows your name

You will find your health
In humor
Something you dont need money to buy
You can just see the funny side of life
The sooner you find your sense of humour, the sooner you’ll find love in life
The funny life is a healthy life

Lifes riches
Are not found in gold
At the end of a rainbow
Or in fame where everyone knows your name

You’ll find your wealth
When you find peace
You’ll realise that you don’t need to surround yourself with an entourage
Alone with your soul, peace and quiet makes you whole

Lifes riches
Are not found in gold
At the end of a rainbow
Or in fame where everyone knows your name

Lifes riches are found within
You are the gold
You are the rainbow

You are abundance
