Off and on again…

When your always on and off

The on is going to be 10x harder than the off

Stopping and starting is a killer.

The more you stop the harder it is to start again and the harder it is to keep going and get momentum.

In terms of exercise the more you stop the harder it is to find motivation to get started again. Then you get mucles soreness and want to stop again. Where as if you just pushed through and kept going you keep gaining momentum.

In relationships if your on and off the on is never going to be the same and you have more chances of breaking up again.

In business if you only market when you need to its going to be a lot harder to get sales than if you marketed consistently.

Basically when your on and off the on gets 10x harder and quitting or being off gets 10x easier so keep going because the off is not worth it

The Strong Start on Sunday

They say the week start on Monday
But the strong start on Sunday
-Kanye West

I fell into the habit of just letting my weeks start at default and just go with the flow, you know see what happens…

Not much really, Apart from responding to events as and when they happen.

The strong start on Sunday, meaning planning your week before it starts and reviewing the previous week to see what progress you did or did not make…

(Although I don’t think that’s what Ye meant)

Garret J White calls this the general’s tent, Planning your battles before you go to war.

War on yourself that is.

Start on Sunday
Review your week
Plan your week
Kill your week

Actions and Loneliness

Actions and Loneliness
Nobody is coming to save you…

There was a period in the past 12 months where I experienced chronic loneliness, If you follow my blog you would have seen poems reflecting that.

I started sedating with Whiskey every night to try and dull the emptiness I was feeling.

I’ve never been good with communicating with people I don’t know (Like starting conversations and have always been useless on dating apps like tinder) these feelings compounded during lockdown – like no one wants to date even if they did we’re in a lockdown kind of thoughts…

So I would always sign up for dating apps but wait for people to message me first and when they didn’t I would delete the app and feel even lonelier

It got to a point where I was like fuck this, this shit can’t go on anymore, I need to take action

So I found the worst opening line invented so bad it was good and just sent it to everyone I matched with…

I got unmatched
I got laughed at
But I also got responses
and conversations
and dates…

The point is, Nobody is coming to save us.

We need to take action.

This applies to our health, wealth, relationships
There is something we can take action on today.

The future gets written today

The future gets written today
-Beady Eye

You may be worried about something that may or may not happen in the future

Like running out of money,
Or filing for divorce
Or getting diabetes or something

But the reality is those things or determined today.

You run out of money because of your spending today, or lack of securing what you had.

You get divorced because you didn’t commit to the marriage as you should have done today

You get diabetes or whatever from what you put or don’t put into your mouth today…

Take the past 15 months everybody has been putting on a mask hoping it will stop them from getting the vid but the majority of cases come from people with pre lifestyle diseases…

A mask won’t save you, it’s your actions

The same with anything your actions today determine your future

‘Live’ she says

Death twitches my ear
‘Live’ she says
– paths of meaning

Chasing a paycheck, constantly checking our stocks, or emails,  worrying about some unimportant things…

We forget to enjoy ourselves, We forget to live.

With each day that passes by death creeps closer, but we push Lee further back until we have achieved somthing or paid of this or done that,

No matter what goes on in life there are always small moments to enjoy

Death twitches closer.
Live.
