Rely on your own Strength

Rely On Your Own Strength Instead Of Somebody Else’s Compassion!

Gary Halbert

When I first started out in personal training

THere was a salesman working at the gym for a while

and he bought an influx of sales in and with that he would bring in
new leads to the Personal trainers as well

I was on great terms with him so he bought me a good deal of those leads to me.

Then he left

And my diary became progressively quieter

I eventually went broke and left

YOu can read about it here >> How I went Broke

I relied on someone else to bring me business

Instead of developing my own strengths and using that.

In life we need to rely on ourselves

Everything else is out of our control.

We all know what happens when we think

In golf, player has time to think. …And we all know what happens when we have time to think.

Steven Pressfield

I was going to go on a hike the other day and wanted to try somewhere new

So I opened a hiking app and started looking for somwhere to go

After sifting through loads I started looking at the parking situation for these hikes

Anyway long story short I over thought the parking situation and ended up not going

When we think as Steven Pressfield points out in the game of golf it can cause us to buckle under the pressure of our own mind

Sometimes we have to just act without thinking

However that being said I did go for a hike yesterday without thinking drove and hour and half to get there and there was no parking other than a car park that only took cash so I had to drive all the way home as I had none on me

So sometimes its okey to think a little and plan ahead but the end result is we must act

Sometimes you’re going to carry heavy things

Life isn’t fair

An lesson early on in  my adulthood that life wasn’t fair was when I was at a fitness conference

A practical lecture on kettlebell movement was over filled so we had to move to some other part of the arena to fit everyone in

Obviously we had to move the kettlebells too

Everyone scrambled to get the lightest ones and all I remember was there been a couple left I look up and this big dude picks up the light one about 8kg

And then there was me a scrawny 18 year old left with the 25kg one

The big dude looks at me and the kettlebell as if he was going to swap then sort of shrugs his shoulders and walks off

Unfair yes

Anything I could do about it no

Sometimes in life your just going to have to carry heavy shit

Because at the end of the day everyones looking out for themselves and they wont carry your burdens

Winners Grow Anyway

Getting Stuck is Normal But Winners Grow Anyway

Ramit Sethi

We all get stuck

Some of us choose to stay stuck

And I say choose because getting stuck is a choice

Its excuses over action

Rather than looking for a way around

When you decide you dont want to be stuck rather than just saying you dont want to be stuck then you can grow

And that problem becomes a possibility

How many time have you put this off?

How many time have you put this off?

Procrastination the curse that just keeps on taking.

Time and time again we are granted with opportunities to accomplish tasks yet we keep giving those opportunities away.

Time and time again and ironically we end up with less and less time…

I started a course a year ago and it expires today,

Guess who’s spending their evening trying to complete it… Me.

Even after a year of lockdowns and countless lazy days…

Think of your many years of procrastination; how the gods have repeatedly granted you further periods of grace, of which you have taken no advantage. It is time now to realise the nature of the universe to which you belong, and of that controlling Power whose offspring you are; and to understand that your time has a limit set to it. Use it, then, to advance your enlightenment; or it will be gone, and never in your power again
