Oaks grow strong in contrary winds

When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure. Peter Marshall

We can always wish it was easier,

But wishing situations, life, in general, was easier,

Life becomes harder, we never seem to catch a break,

We always seem to be staring down the face of adversity… Wishing it was smaller, or wishing the beast was never here to deal with in the first place.

We never grow.

We never get stronger.

The beast always gets bigger.

But like diamonds and the mighty oak,

Without the pressure and the clashing winds.

You will never shine, you will never stand strong.
